This marching brass catalog was designed for Kanstual Music in early 2002. The photos on the front cover wer taken by Don Harrell of Kanstul at a USC football game with a 35 mm camera. The photos on the back cover were sent to Kanstul by the various universities that use Kanstul's fine brass instruments in their marching programs. Some of the photos of the horns were taken by a professional traditional photographer and some were taken digitally by me. He taught me the art of brass instrument photography. Due to the extremely reflective nature of brass and silver and the complex curves of brass instruments it actually is an art to come up with usable photographs for advertising and product catalogs. I put all the elements together for the catalog and it was commercially printed in 2002 and is still in use as Kanstul's Marching Brass Catalog. All work was done in Photoshop. |
